Located on the Fleurieu Peninsula in South Australia 80 kilometres from Adelaide, Victor Harbor is a popular tourist destination as the coastal town famous for it's whales and resident little penguins.

Shops, galleries, restaurants, walking trails and wildlife are all located in and around Victor Harbor so there is truly something for everyone. Victor Harbor foreshore is a great place to relax, unwind and just enjoy the tree lined beachfront.

Along this stretch of the Fleurieu Peninsula hosts some of the best surfing beaches in South Australia, Greenhills Adventure Park, stunning coastline, nature reserves and more.

Granite Island Seal

Granite Island

Take a walk, or horse drawn tram, over the causeway to Granite Island Conservation Park. Walk around one of the Islands walking trails for stunning coastal scenery and the chance to spot Dolphins and Seals playing in the local waters. During the months of May-October you may also see the Southern Right Whales as they come in to breed. Penguin tours are conducted daily at dusk to watch the local colony of tiny penguins come ashore and local seals and dolphins can be spotted playing and basking off shore.

Whale Watching

Southern Right Whales are familiar visitors to Victor Harbor and it's neighbouring beaches. The best time to spot them close to shore is July & August as they calf but the whales are around from May to October every year.

Pop along to the Whale Centre in Victor Harbor to find out where the latest sightings have been to give yourself the best chance of sighting them.
